The luxury Lifestyle blog (the home of luxury Lifestyle) presents 2013 Neiman Marcus Edition McLaren 12C Spider.

Every year, Neiman Marcus’ Christmas Book special has a very uber-expensive luxury vehicle that gets sold out pretty quickly.

This year, Neiman Marcus teamed up with McLaren Automotive to offer a total of 12 units of a special-edition MP4-12C Spider at a whopping $354,000.

Buyers apparently snatched up all 12 units within 2 hours – giving them the chance to be the first owners of the new car, which is not yet available for delivery.

The 2013 Neiman Marcus Edition McLaren 12C Spider is dressed in Volcano Red and includes lightweight diamond-cut wheels with Gloss Black inners, Gloss Black graphics, contrast red stitching, a stainless steel special-edition numbered badge and a McLaren luggage set.

Besides the 12C Spider, new owners of the supercar have also received a first class flight to McLaren Technology Center in Woking, UK, where they will be having dinner with Ron Dennis, the supercar manufacturer’s chairman.

Last year, the 10 Ferrari FF supercars sold off in mere 50 minutes and it took just 3 minutes for 100 of its special Chevrolet Camaro Convertibles to sell out in 2010.

The luxury Lifestyle blog (the home of luxury Lifestyle) presents Robert Pattinson new face of Dior Homme Fragrance?

Robert Pattinson will feature as the latest face of Dior Homme fragrances in a new advertising campaign reported to be worth $12 million.

Twenty-six-year-old Pattinson will feature in a print and film advertising campaign for the famous label, which was established by designer Christian Dior in 1946.

Does this mean that current face of the brand, Jude Law, is out of a job? Details are unclear, and as yet there has been no official statement from Dior, which has not responded to requests for comment.

Other faces of the brand include Best Actress Oscar-winning trio Marion Cotillard, Charlize Theron, and Natalie Portman, who have recently promoted perfume and bags under the Dior banner.

Born in London in 1986, Robert Pattinson first played in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire before hitting global success with his role as Edward in the teen vampire thrillers of the Twilight saga, alongside current girlfriend Kristen Stewart.

The luxury Lifestyle blog (the home of luxury Lifestyle) presents Patek Philippe Maison Opening in Shanghai.

Swiss watch company Patek Philippe last week opened its second store in China, a 13,000-square-foot retail outlet and parlor in Shanghai in the former residence of the British consulate, one of the city’s priciest parcels of real estate.

There the company will show off its collection of watches valued at $16,000 to $240,000, said Thierry Stern, president of Patek Philippe, in an interview.

In addition, the company rolled out a local service center so wealthy watch buyers can maintain their pricey pieces without having to send them overseas.

The brand sells about 55,000 watches globally each year, with Chinese sales accounting for 40% of this figure, though most sales are made outside of China owing to the country’s high luxury tax.

According to a report by the Wall Street Journal, Patek Philippe is hoping that China’s demand for luxury watches will continue, despite concerns that the market is slowing.

Watches have taken a significant hit. Swiss watch exports fell for the first time in three years to 1.73 billion Swiss francs ($1.86 billion) in September, down 2.7% from the year-earlier month, according to the Federation of the Swiss Watch Industry.

China accounted for the biggest decline, as sales of Swiss watches plummeted 28%, according to the data. Hong Kong sales fell 20%.

The luxury Lifestyle blog (the home of luxury Lifestyle) presents 100 Years Under the Dome at Galeries Lafayette.

Paris’s Galeries Lafayette Haussmann department store called upon architect Rem Koolhaas and conceptual artist Yann Kersalé to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the iconic building’s dome.

Erected in October 1912 by architect Ferdinand Chanut and master glassmaker Jacques Gruber, the famous stained glass dome is the focus of an exhibit that delves into its origins, coupled with a light installation on the facade of the building.

“Our dome is the symbol of the Galeries Lafayette, illustrating the delicate balance between tradition and modernity that is characteristic of our group since its inception in 1894,” explains Philippe Houzé, president of the board of directors.

Set up by Rem Koolhaas end his agency OMA, the exhibit, which opened this week and is titled “1912-2012. Chroniques d’un parcours créatif”, delves into the department store and its iconic dome’s successive mutations.

Running through January 26, 2013, the exhibit is held at the Galerie des Galeries and consists of numerous archival documents including photographs and films.

The light installation, designed by conceptual artist Yann Kersalé in partnership with Djuric Tardio-Archiectes, titled Chrysalide, is a perennial work that will liven up the building’s facade all year long and evolve with each new season.

The luxury Lifestyle blog (the home of luxury Lifestyle) presents Chanel releases No. 5 campaign with Brad Pitt.

Following in the footsteps of Coco Chanel, Catherine Deneuve, Nicole Kidman and Audrey Tautou, Brad Pitt is the new face of Chanel’s iconic fragrance.

The French luxury brand’s new ad, filmed by Atonement director Joe Wright, is the first time a man has starred as the face of the famous Chanel perfume.

In the new video available on the Chanel site, Brad Pitt, lit in moody black and white against a mottled wall, talks directly to the camera: “it is not a journey, every journey ends, but we go on,” Pitt explains, as if speaking to an unseen woman.

“The world turns and we turn with it,” he intones, as the camera moves to a picture of the earth as seen from space, a bottle of Chanel No. 5 superimposed on top of it.

With a new brand tagline of “inevitable”, the choice of Brad Pitt as the face of the brand was “obvious”, according to Chanel, as soon as the company had decided that it would be a male face promoting the celebrated scent, created by Russian-French perfumier Ernest Beaux for Gabrielle ‘Coco’ Chanel in 1921.

The last Chanel No. 5 film was directed by Amélie creator Jean-Pierre Jeunet, who teamed up with his former leading lady Audrey Tautou for a retro extravaganza set on the Orient Express. The same year, Tautou starred as Miss Chanel in the feature film Coco Before Chanel.
