The luxury Lifestyle blog (the home of luxury Lifestyle) presents Caviar vending machines debut in LA.

A caviar vending machine has opened in California for the deep-pocketed who prefer to indulge their snack cravings with caviar and blinis rather than candy bars.

Beverly Hills Caviar has set up the luxury snack food vending machine at the Burbank Town Center Mall, which also dispenses all the accoutrements one needs for a gold-gilded, midnight snack.

Think caviar, truffles, escargot, blinis, bottarga (fish egg sacks), oils, Mother of Pearl plates and spoons, gift boxes and gourmet salts.

It’s been a big week for caviar. Celebrity chef Eric Ripert of what’s been described as the best seafood restaurant in New York Le Bernardin, also launched his own line of luxury caviar. An 8-oz tin of Eric Ripert Imperial Select Caviar is yours for $1,050.

The luxury Lifestyle blog (the home of luxury Lifestyle) presents Samsung to Produce Bendable Phones.

If this holds up, we'll have our flying cars sooner than later: Samsung has announced that it will commence production of the world's first commercial "bendy", ultra-thin smartphones.

The first of these ridiculously futuristic looking devices, said to be nigh unbreakable as well as markedly thinner and lighter, are expected to hit the market by mid 2013.

The news add to rumblings in the technosphere that Samsung is also gearing up for the imminent reveal of what it calls an OLED display screen at next year's Consumer Electronics Show in January.

Unlike your by-now ubiquitous LED screens, OLED displays actually generate their own light source. What this built-in luminosity means is designers can do away with glass entirely: an OLED screen can be made of just about anything, from metal foil to polymer plastic. Again, the future appears flexible: OLED screens can be produced to make them malleable and anorexic to the point of ludicrosity.

Indeed, at last year's Consumer Electronics Show, Samsung displayed a prototype that was just 0.3mm thick and which could be bent into a cylindrical shape with nary a fuss. We're looking forward to seeing what practical applications this new tech will afford, besides being undeniable cool, of course.

The luxury Lifestyle blog (the home of luxury Lifestyle) presents Gucci launches Taipei flagship.

Luxury fashion and accessories group Gucci has launched a new Taiwanese flagship with a high-profile party in the Taipei 101 skyscraper.

This is the second store for Italian luxury brand in the Taiwanese capital, but the first to stock the full Gucci line.

Li Bingbing, the Asian brand ambassador for Gucci, was there to cut the rope: the 39-year-old actress, who starred in the latest instalment of the Resident Evil movie series alongside Milla Jovovich, wore a look from the Gucci Resort 2013 collection.

The store was designed by Gucci creative director Frida Giannini, and at 9,720 square-feet, is three times larger than Gucci’s old space in the mall, which carried the brand’s lines of handbags and accessories.

Gucci celebrated the launch with a lavish dinner on the 84th floor of the giant tower (the world’s tallest building from 2004 until the 2010 opening of the Burj Khalifa).

Li Bingbang was joined by actor James Wen in a dark Gucci suit, Chris Wang wearing a print Gucci fall 2012 suit with studded loafers, and Italian-Taiwanese actress Tiffany Hsu in a black Gucci Pre-Fall 2012 gown.

Frida Giannini also designed limited-edition items including a Boston bag and silk scarves inspired by Taipei 101.

“Being responsible in the way that we conduct our business is a fundamental part of our DNA, as are our values of quality, creativity, and Italian artisanal craftsmanship for which our brand is renowned,” Gucci China president Carol Shen told WWD .

The luxury Lifestyle blog (the home of luxury Lifestyle) presents David Lynch’s club comes to Art Basel Miami Beach.

David Lynch is bringing a pop-up version of his exclusive Parisian club Silencio to Miami during Art Basel in December.

The Mulholland-Drive-inspired Parisian club will be recreated at the Delano South Beach hotel for the duration of the fair between the December 6 and 9.

Silencio will take over the hotel’s night club, which will be transformed into a salon atmosphere similar to the decor of the Parisian version.

Like the Parisian nightspot, access to Miami’s Silencio will be reserved for members only. Those eligible to enter will be able to enjoy music, film, art and fashion during the fair as well as lighting and cocktails similar to those offered in Paris.

Modeled by Lynch after his film Mulholland Drive, Silencio opened in Paris in 2011. The sinister cabaret decoration is inspired by the strange Club Silencio in the movie.

The club’s decoration was entirely designed by Lynch, from key features to furniture as well as small details such as the books in the bookshelves.

The venue regularly hosts movie retrospectives, concerts, art aperformances and guests DJs. Lynch is also said to oversee the cultural program for the venue.

It is not the first time a pop-up of Silencio has been brought to a major event. The exclusive club already spawned a pop-up version at the Cannes Film Festival this year and served as co-host to the Future Contemporaries Festival at the Serpentine Gallery in London.

The luxury Lifestyle blog (the home of luxury Lifestyle) presents Renault and Caterham to produce Alpine sports cars.

Renault and British manufacturer Caterham will jointly produce a new line of sports cars that will incorporate “the DNA of the Alpine,” an iconic Renault model.

Caterham is to acquire 50 percent of Renault’s sports car division Automobile Alpine Renault and together the manufacturers would create the Societe des Automobile Alpine Caterham in January 2013, a statement said.

That company would produce “its own vehicles which will hit the market four years from now,” Renault CEO Carlos Ghosn told a press conference. They are to be built at a Renault factory in Dieppe, in northwestern France.

Renault had already floated plans to revive the classic style of the Alpine 110, which dominated sports car rallies up to the 1970s before it was discontinued.

The luxury Lifestyle blog (the home of luxury Lifestyle) presents Kempinski to run world’s tallest hotel in North Korea.

An enormous pyramid-shaped hotel which has stood half-built for decades in North Korea’s capital is on track to open its doors next year, Reto Wittwer, CEO of luxury international hotel chain Kempinski, said Thursday at a forum in Seoul.

Pyongyang’s 105-storey Ryugyong Hotel, a monolithic concrete shell dubbed the “Hotel of Doom” by international media, has been repeatedly delayed and stands as a symbol of the economic problems plaguing the impoverished country.

Kempinski chief executive Reto Wittwer said the group would open the hotel in July or August 2013, offering 150 rooms on the top floors of the building.

“It will become a multipurpose complex, with the three lowest floors used for the lobby, restaurants and a shopping centre, and the rest of the upper floors will be mostly used for offices,” he said.

Former North Korean leader Kim Jong-Il, who died last December, ordered construction of the hotel in 1987, with skills and capital from a French company.

Wittwer said that Cairo-based Orascom Telecom, which launched a mobile network in North Korea in 2008, has invested $180 million in the building’s exterior, which has now been completed. Orascom is now working on the interior, he added.

In September this year, Beijing-based company Koryo Tours, which organises trips to North Korea, was granted a rare glimpse inside the hotel.

Photos taken by the company and provided to AFP show a vast glass-covered lobby and atrium with tiers of bare concrete at its base, resembling a multi-storey car park.

The visit also revealed that the building features a ninety-fifth-floor viewing platform and plans for a banqueting hall.

The luxury Lifestyle blog (the home of luxury Lifestyle) presents BMW i4 Concept Electric Coupe.

Unconfirmed media sources are reporting that BMW will bring its i4 concept car to the 2012 LA Auto Show next month.

Based on the BMW i3 electric city car, the new BMW ‘i4′ would be a more “fashionable and sporty” model to complement the i3 in BMW’s increasing electric range.

The concept car will have two doors in the place of the i3′s four and the lower roof will give a sporty look and dynamic appearance.

Typical of a sportier model, it would also sell for more than the i3 hatchback, already touted to cost upwards of $50,000 in Europe, pre-incentives.

The luxury Lifestyle blog (the home of luxury Lifestyle) presents Oakley AirWave ski goggles with head-up data display.

Oakley just debuted a new pair of tricked-out snow goggles that offer some unique features, such as Recon Instruments’ latest heads-up technology, allowing wearers to see maps, speed, temperature and playlists all while carving up the mountain.

All of this information is displayed in the lower righthand corner of the goggles, which is perceived by the wearer to be the size of a 14-inch/36-cm screen that is five feet/1.5 m away, so you won’t need to refocus the eyes, Oakley states.

Additionally, Oakley’s Airwave goggles feature GPS, Bluetooth and a host of other onboard sensors.

You can access a friend tracker to locate ski pals and preloaded maps of 600 ski resorts around the globe, as well as stream music wirelessly, make calls, or send texts with stock messages via a “glove-friendly” wrist remote control.

Available October 31, you can purchase the Airwave goggles for $599 via Oakley.com, Apple.com and select Apple stores in North America, Europe, and Japan.

By downloading a corresponding iPhone, iPod Touch, or Android app, you can operate the goggles via the wrist device.

Other ski goggle options include the Zeal iON, which feature antifog, high-density polarized lenses, like the Airwave, but with a built-in HD camera to capture the action.

You can capture both 1080p video and eight-megapixel photos with a 170-degree wide-angle lens. The camera automatically adjusts for light levels and has an infinity focus — all for a price of $399.
